This Christmas, it’s time to get out and about and explore some of the top Christmas events in Vancouver. I know that many of us missed out on some of our favourite celebrations last year, but it’s time to make up for this once again this holiday season. Let’s take a look at a few of my top picks for Christmas events in Vancouver, which will be the perfect way to get you in the Christmas spirit this year.

The Peak of Christmas

Grouse Mountain is home to The Peak of Christmas each year, which is Vancouver’s North Pole for the season. As well as witnessing the beauty of Blue Grouse Lake, you can enjoy strolling through the light tunnel and looking at the magnificent light installations. I also highly recommend having a go at ice skating on their 8,000 square foot rink at the top of the mountain, which is one of the highlights of a visit here. Make sure you book in advance for your visit and take advantage of the family rate if you are going with your whole family. Canyon Lights

This year, one of the most anticipated Christmas events in Vancouver is Canyon Lights at the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. It runs from November 20th, 2021, until January 23rd, 2022. This season, I’m excited to see the new multi-colour light display, which is added to the bridge over the illuminated Capilano River. You’ll also want to check out the Arc de Lumina light tunnel, which is found on part of the Cliffwalk. There are so many great photo spots here to see during your explorations, so make sure you bring your camera or phone to capture some great family shots.

VanDusen Garden Festival of Lights

One of the other top Christmas events in Vancouver is the Festival of Lights at VanDusen Garden. These magical lights decorate 15 acres of the botanical garden, and you’ll love walking along and exploring each of the displays. Don’t miss out on the Rose Garden during your visit, which is one of the highlights of the Festival of Lights. As well as checking out the lights, you’ll enjoy listening to festive music and snacking on some of the tasty treats on offer. One thing to keep in mind before visiting is that tickets aren’t sold on the site. Make sure you book ahead online before your trip to avoid disappointment.

Pacific National Exhibition Christmas Lights

This Christmas event is returning again this year using the same drive-thru setup as the previous year. You’ll just pay once for your car, making it a budget-friendly night out for your family. On top of the beautiful lights, you’ll find there are plenty of delicious food trucks with local and festive offerings for you to try.
